About Me
Sarah is an experienced, warm and empathic therapist working with adults aged 18 and over. She has worked with clients with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, abuse, trauma, bereavement and loss.
Sarah's approach is psychodynamic, understanding that the past can impact the present. Making links with things that have happened before can help us to understand how they have shaped our current thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and to recognise” unhelpful or repeating patterns.
“I believe that at the core of counselling is the relationship between you and your counsellor, a relationship in which you feel safe and can talk freely, sharing your thoughts and experiences at your pace. I will listen in a warm and thoughtful way, without judgement, and together we will work to help you process and understand the difficulties you are facing”.
As well as running her own private practise, Sarah also works for the Counselling Foundation.
