About Me
I am an experienced, empathic psychodynamic therapist, caring passionately about what I do. I take a relational approach with my clients whilst thinking psychodynamically, about how the past can impact the present, working towards a greater understanding of yourself. This in turn will help to unravel some of your difficult emotions, anxieties and distress. I believe that a greater understanding of yourself is the path to lasting and positive changes for the future. I will work collaboratively with you to make sense of feelings that may feel painful or confusing.
I will respond to your individual needs, anxieties and distress in an emapathic, compassionate manner, recognising that we are all different. I will provide a safe and confidential space and believe that a strong relationship between therapist and client is vital to the success of therapy. I work in a non judgemental way and welcome any material clients wish to bring. I have worked with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, infertility, neurodiversity, relationships and parental difficulties.
Prior to my training in Psychodynamic Therapy, I obtained a BA Hons in Business, working in the corporate world for many years which provided an understanding of the stresses, anxieties and work related issues the corporate environment can bring.
I understand that reaching out for help might be initially daunting and will create a comfortable space to put you at ease. I adhere to the strict BACP code of ethics.
